We develop the e-Skin interface in collaboration with appropriate industry partners. The interface combines tactility and wearability to aid in orientation, navigation and communication.
We currently focus on the following two main application potentials:
e-skin in the real environment: navigation, information competence in complex real environments for the visually impaired. (i.e. shopping, workplaces)
e-skin in the virtual environment: movement/dance, tactility and sound as a modus of interaction between the visually impaired, the non-impaired and the mediated stage.
